My name is Char, and I am 22 years old. My biggest passion is travelling. Over the past 5 years, I have been to over 26 different countries around the world, touring and learning about different ways of life. I recently decided to combine my passion for travelling with volunteering, and so I got on board with the GVN – Global Volunteer Network. This organization has numerous opportunities worldwide, and I was fortunate to receive a position in the Children’s Homes project in Nepal. For the month of November, I will be living with a local Nepali family and working in an orphanage nearby. My role is to be a big sister to the children and providing them with love and support. Additionally, I may also be helping teach the children basic skills to help them interact better with others and help assist them with maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Since Hotfox is allowing me this fundraising opportunity, all the proceeds I make will provide funding for specific things that these children can use, such as learning tools or toys. Thank you for helping make this world a better place one step at a time!
